Questions about Groundtruth
Groundtruth is a company wiki and knowledge base built for AI: your team keeps the knowledge, and Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini answer from it with citations. Nederlands
What Groundtruth is
What is Groundtruth?
Groundtruth (groundtruthhq.tech) is a company wiki and knowledge base built for AI. Your team keeps pages (how things work), decisions (why) and records (the facts) in one place, and AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini query it over MCP. Every answer cites the page, decision or record it came from, and if nothing matches, Groundtruth says so instead of guessing.
Who is Groundtruth for?
For teams that use AI assistants or agents at work and want them to answer from the company's own knowledge: policies, processes, customers, contracts and past decisions. It suits small and mid-size companies that don't want to build their own retrieval pipeline.
Is Groundtruth the same as GroundTruth, the advertising company?
No. Groundtruth at groundtruthhq.tech is a knowledge base for teams and their AI assistants. It is not related to GroundTruth, the location-based advertising company, or to other projects called Ground Truth.
What does it cost?
Groundtruth is free during the public beta, with no credit card. Paid plans are planned per person (Team $14, Business $28 per person per month); AI agents and assistant connections are never charged per seat. See groundtruthhq.tech/pricing.
Using it with AI assistants
How do I connect Claude to my company's knowledge?
Add Groundtruth in Claude under Customize → Connectors (it's in Claude's Connectors Directory), sign in, and choose which workspaces Claude may use. Claude can then ask questions with cited answers, see alerts and the team's board, and log decisions or update pages, asking you before every change. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http groundtruth https://groundtruthhq.tech/api/mcp.
Does it work with ChatGPT and Gemini?
Yes. Groundtruth works in ChatGPT (developer mode, as a custom connector) and in Gemini (custom apps, and Gemini Enterprise for teams), with the same tools and citations as in Claude. Any other client that speaks MCP over HTTP, such as Cursor, works too, as does the REST API.
What is MCP, and why does a wiki need it?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to call tools and read data. A wiki with an MCP server lets your assistant search and quote company knowledge directly, with the same permissions as the person using it, instead of you copying documents into a chat.
Can AI assistants change content in Groundtruth?
Yes, if you allow it. Assistants can create pages, log decisions, update records and manage cards on the board. Every change is attributed, labelled as AI work in the activity log, and pages an AI wrote wait for a person to review them. Readers' connections are read-only.
Does Groundtruth use my data to train AI models?
No. Your workspace content is not used to train models. Answers in the app use your own AI key (Claude, OpenAI or Gemini) or a small free credit; assistants you connect use their own model, and Groundtruth only hands them the cited sources.
Getting knowledge in
How do I get our existing knowledge into Groundtruth?
Four ways: answer a few setup questions, let Groundtruth read your website and draft pages, save web pages, Google Docs, PDFs and more with the Groundtruth Capture Chrome extension, or let an AI assistant create pages over MCP from documents you give it. Everything AI-drafted is marked for review.
Can I save meeting notes from Wispr Flow or Plaud?
Yes. The Wispr Flow and Plaud integrations in Groundtruth's Agent Store file your meeting summaries as pages, one by one or automatically (a Wispr folder, or a word like #team in a Plaud recording's title). Only you see your own recordings, transcripts stay out unless your workspace turns them on, and every filed summary is labelled as AI-written.
Is there a Chrome extension?
Yes, Groundtruth Capture. It saves web pages, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, GitHub, PDFs, YouTube transcripts and Gmail threads into Groundtruth from a side panel and keeps them in sync with their source. Get it from your dashboard or groundtruthhq.tech/capture; a Chrome Web Store listing is on its way.
Does Groundtruth work in Dutch and other languages?
Yes. Workspaces can be set up in English, Dutch, German, French or Spanish, suggested questions come in your own language, and assistants answer in the language you ask in.
Trust and control
How does Groundtruth keep answers correct?
Answers only come from your workspace and cite their sources. Every page has an owner and a verified date; stale pages are flagged to people and to agents, and content written by AI waits for review. The Freshness Agent reminds owners when a page hasn't been checked in 90 days.
How is AI-generated content labelled?
Everything an AI writes in Groundtruth is labelled as such, in the app and in the page's markdown, and AI answers carry a signed, machine-readable provenance mark, in line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act. See groundtruthhq.tech/ai.
How does Groundtruth compare to a wiki with an AI add-on?
A wiki with an AI add-on lets people chat with documents. Groundtruth is built so AI assistants are first-class users: they read and write over MCP with attribution, answers always cite sources or decline, decisions and structured records sit next to pages, and stale knowledge is flagged before anyone quotes it.
